Lifejackets Service

Professional inspection, testing and maintenance of inflatable lifejackets

Inflatable lifejackets are now the primary choice of most ship and yacht owners, and are used on almost all types of craft.

However, inflatable lifejackets have a finite lifespan, and their reliability depends on being serviced and maintained on a regular basis in full accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Full servicing should only be carried out at an approved service station.
In addition to inspection and renewal of firing mechanisms and CO₂ cartridges, servicing includes testing and renewal of inflatable collar welded seams, webbing, sealing o-rings, internal non-return valves, and complete inflation / leak testing of the unit. Specialist tools and proper training are required, and it is essential that only genuine spare parts are used.
It is considered outside the competency of the average owner to undertake such a servicing routine.

Pre-Wear Checks for Users

All users should be familiar with how to perform a basic pre-wear inspection to ensure their lifejackets are in good condition.
If this is not the case, we invite clients to visit our service station, where detailed instructions will be provided on the correct use and care of their lifejackets.
